Anyone gone 3.6l to 4.0l and care to share the insurance premium increase? I'm waiting for the insurers to get back to me, but thought I'd poll as to what people have experienced.

I went from a 3.6 to a 4.3 and my insurance premium actually went down, that will teach me to shop around a bit better in future.

Sorry, not much help i know.

I was with Elephant and i'm now with Adrian Flux, if your a member of the car club and can hold out for approximately 6 weeks they should have a better deal sorted out with up to 25% discount.

My insurance runs out in July, so I'll pay whatever increase for the next few months then get quotes from Adrian Flux.

I'm with Mannings; paying about £760 unlimited with track cover included. Dunno what the new bit will be though.

Company car? I was told by my accountant that would be a costly No-no!

I went from 3.6L to 4.0L and the insurance increase was £300 because also had nitrons and ACT air box fitted. I'm with Adrian Flux.

Think I'm getting ripped off some what, but can't be bothered to look elsewhere at the moment.

Your accountant is spot on, assuming it's 'your' company.

Yes, it is expensive and something that I'll be changing when the time allows but for now at least I get the VAT back on parts and servicing.

That does seem a bit excessive, i've got Nitrons aswell and still my premium came down and i wasn't paying an extortionate amount in the first place.

ETA: Mannings did actually come in about 50GBP cheaper but i went with AF becuase of the affiliation with the club.

Not sure Lee. Will be going on a rolling road soon. It definatley has more torque than the 3.6L, and I'm not sure what difference the ACT air box makes yet.

How's the RG engine, dying to see itthumbup

Let me know when you get it checked. I'll be going to Surrey Rollong Road as soon as I have more than 2.5k on the clock and I'm running on fully synthetic oil.

The FFF is runing fabulously well. So quiet, and masses more torque. Very, very smooth delivery of power and it feels urgent. Difficult to keep to 3k revs!

Glad that you're enjoying yours too. We'll have to try to compare notes at a Dorset/Bristol meet.

Tamster.

My insurance dropped going from a 3.6 to 4.0, i change insurers every year, £520/12k miles at the mo, try Privilige/A-plan for online quote, i would also increase the overall value of the Tam by 5/10k with the new engine, should the worst happen.

Tried the new FFF T350 recently, an absolute beauty of an engine, oh for another kidney! thumbup
