My passenger window seems to have developed a intermittent fault !
ie. not working at crucial times. Can be fixed sometimes by opening
and slamming the door but not a practical solution. When is working,
seems to open and close fine, so motor appears in good shape. But
has to be the brian maybe or whatever the tech. term is....
Anyone experienced ?

Gary, assuming the window system is the sme as a Tuscan (which I think it pretty much is) it could be the encoder or a dodgy connection. There is a small pcb mounted on the window motor with a 3 pin flying lead. This provides the signal as to what the window motor is doing (it counts pulses from an encoding disk). It normally gets wet and breaks down but it could just be a dodgy connection (corrosion between pins). Your best bet is to take it apart (plug and socket) clean the pins as best you can, apply some vaseline and stick it back together. And check all other connections while you are at it!
