T350 R888's What Size?

Hi all. I'm thinking of replacing my Toyo Proxy T1R's with a set of Toyo R888's, having been a passenger in a Griff wearing them. (Very impressive). The current tyres are 235 40 18(rear) and 225 35 18(front). I've heard that the spiders can accommodate a wider tyre. Is this true and if so how big can you go? Ta

I've been thinking about doing something similar, though if I were you I'd consider changing the spiders first or as well as they are not the toughest wheel out there. I have the SP12's on my T350 and I would go 225/40 front and 265/35 rear in the R888's.

Thanks for that. I assume the wider rear tyres will help to prevent oversteer too. (had a spin at Silverstone last week). I can't decide whether to buy a second set for the track or not. It's an expensive option.

If budget's tight, to minimise the slight roll- and aero-oversteer that they have at higher speed corners if right on the limit, increased rear neg camber to 2 degrees and at least 1.5mm of rear toe-in give an improvement, even with standard tyres.
