Tamora Rear BOX !

Fellow Tamma's,

I noticed today, the silencer actually does not touch the heat
shield when cold. But when you are warmed it it does ! Anyone
can check this for me pls..... It is moving back by about 1-2
inch's... You can move the heat shield back but of course,
the number plate lights to illuminate the plate !!! ho-hum.

You would expect some movement due to heat. The movement should not have changed unless you've lagged manifolds or had them coated in some way.

Not on mine! Not sure how it can move as its clamped in two places to the centre pipes and hung on rubbers mounted in clamps bolted also in 2 places. Are you sure the heat shield has not moved? found mine loose when I had a look. Its only secured at the top by being 'clamped under the front bolts of the exhaust hangers? bottom is bolted through the splitter

Mine has nicley melted on one side... but at least it fits the exhaust now!

Tha factory did a mod in my T350 rear rubber hangers. They put a strap around the rubber to stop it stretching, was ok after that.

Cos decats with that box is a little outrageous, even for me. Would earn an ASBO sooner or later.

The only real difference I've noticed with the decats is more popping and banging; a lot more I must admit.

But no audible complaints so far...
