Heeeeelllp my Sagaris is steaming hot in a bad way....

I guess i am now a true TVR owner...

can't really see much as its now pitch black out side but pulled up and there was quite a bit of steam (i'm hoping water) coming from the top right corner of the bonnet right infront of me (sitting behind the wheel). Couldn't see anything from taking the smaller engine cover off and too late to start mucking about now.

Anyone got any ideas before i start tampering??? thanks in advance....

Probably just a hose come loose or something like that,hope nothing to horrid mate.

silly question but had you been driving it before this? mine does it if its been sat in the wet or washed .. there doesn't seem to be much stopping the water hitting the hot bits ... almost had heart failure when I drove mine from the dealer and it started steaming ...

I've had this too, almost instantly after starting as well. Get it after rain or having washed the car.

Its probably overfilled and just pushing a bit of steam out of the cap - probably very normal.

hi guys, thanks for the posts.. i'm hoping its just a hose.

i had washed it earlier in the day but did take it for a hour or so's blast to make sure it was dry!! but the steam apepared after getting back home. Fingers crossed its nothing too serious
