Beware all,
Come home from work last night house had been broken into and a few things nicked along with my car keys and the car of the drive, police think they have broken in just to get the keys, happened sometime yesterday afternoon car was on the drive!!
Just had a £1100 service done last week ready for Les Mans, Utter W@#kers.
So be careful out there

Essex what part?This sounds quite worrying and certainly not an isolated case in/around Essex at least. TVR always used to be a non-favoured marque to the thieves due to the rarity and owners club etc making them virtually impossible to sell on. Presumably they're now being stolen for 'another market'?
Best of luck in getting it found though TBH I'm unsure I'd want it back having had the engine potentially ragged from cold!

This is definitely not isolated any more is it? They broke into ours (S/E Essex), took a load of stuff along with the keys in broad daylight too. Police said it was my fault for leaving the car under a cover (in the garage) - it must have looked exotic etc. etc. If anyone can get the local constabulary interested in linking these cases together please do PM me . Mine's coming back from Power soon, I wonder if it isn't safer to leave it there!
They will be stolen to go abroad, and broken for spares imo. A few years back the number of Tivs being SOLD abroad was minimal, now with the stronger Euro, and the more affordability of the cars in general, means more going out of the country, these cars will need spares eventually, a nice little black market appearing? Maybe our Foreign Tivers/Pher`s could keep an eye out for dodgy spares?

It does seem odd that a car made in such limited numbers and with such a strong owners' community should be targeted in this way - you'd think that the potential for resale would be limited, as would the market for spares.
Anyway, I hope that you get it back. Did the police have anything constructive to say on the matter?

king rediculous thing for the police to say. I called the Met about cyclists nearly flattening a kid by riding the wrong way down a one way street in droves. When I described the cyclist as black and in his 30s I was told that it wasn't appropriate to bring up his ethnicity.
