T350 Silencer

I own a T350 with an aftermarket JP Exhaust system fitted.

I am heading to a track, where I'm told the system will be too loud.

Rather than swapping the original box back for the day, I'm looking at getting some silencers fitted.

Can anyone recommend any - and have experience of using these on a track?

Thanks - unfortunately that won't fit onto the JP system (rolled ends).

Anyone know of garages that can measure the sound levels of a car? Would be useful to know prior to looking into swapping the standard box back for the track.

Get your own meter from Maplins for about £65.

Give Tim at ACT a call. The JP system is designed to his spec so I'd guess he'd know if there is any option on silencers.

I did last year and he couldn't help me because of the rolled ends, only option is to change the back box I reckon

Blueflame. Have got a pair of ACT track silencers for this and they fit perfectly.

There is a solution!

In the same situation, and not wanting to change the silencer, I came up with using these which has brought my decatted 4-litre down to 98db for Castle Combe etc, without noticeable power loss, using the full set of discs supplied.

A 10-minute bolt-on fit at the track now, but first required a short tube sleeve tack-welded on, that is a snug fit inserted into the end of the pipe, with a bolt securing it through a small hole drilled near the end of your pipe in the underside (hardly noticeable).

Can buy at D.Tweeks etc., I used the 2.5" inlet and largest 5" sized discs to avoid power reduction - rated at 400bhp each
