Purple Sagaris in Driven Image

I'm just wondering if anyone on here has any experience of the purple Sagaris that is being sold by Driven Image?
I am not undermining the salesman in anyway, as he has been very pleasant so far, it's just that I may be buying the car relatively blind as I am offshore at the moment and my Dad may go down and pick the car up. Long story!

I must be honest, he gave me pretty much what I paid for it when I sold it to him, so being on the other side was fine .... see you've got the "end goal" car parked in your garage now .. very envious and very much planning on that route too

Having bought one car from them last year...if I was in the market in the future, I'd give their showroom a wide berth.

well I think its sold now ...within a few days funnily enough ...strange how being able to offer p/x and finance and it sold quick ...when we tried to sell it private all we got were scam artists ringing up

the car itself was in better nick than new, just serviced/MOT/new pads/clutch done etc, it was a daily driver, belonged to my girlfriend (although we share 3-4 cars mostly it was hers)

anyway, what was wrong with the experience of people from Driven Image - we were thinking of buying a car in the future there?

Really? When I mentioned in passing on here that I was thinking of selling mine I had 6 PHers email me - and I didn't want to sell it privately! I know at least 2 of them have bought Sags subsequently so serious punters. All a matter of timing I guess.

Yeah, out of 10-12 "enquiries" I guess 2 were real potential buyers (who did end up Sagaris in the end)...I think my mistake was also advertising on the trader, although a few of the "interested parties" that had some very good deals for me did get the details from here....I guess its a sign of the times, now that the classifieds on here is a commercial concern, its a popular place for the scam artists to scour - I never had the same issues 4 years ago selling a car on here...

Thing is I still can't belive dealers have them for nearly £40K with and are not willing to budge at all - it's madness I tell ya..........


Having said that I'm still on the hunt for correct colour/mileage etc - I can wait as I've got a decent w/e toy!!!

Just noticed this thread had bumped back up.

I can only speak from our experience with Driven Image, and it was excellent. No bother at all, from start to finish, the car sold within days for a very fair fixed rate commission. I shall definately use them again, and would have no hesitation in buying a car from them too

We got a private sell price for the car, and the buyer had the option of dealer facilities; finance,p/x/warranty etc ..oh and the dealer dosent have thousands tied up in stock, everyones a winner

So it seems a Sale or Return arrangement is quite a good option for sellers of nice cars, and I shall definately do it again, rather than the hassle of a private sale

Driven Image are obviously good from your explanation but there have been issues with SOR when a dealer goes under and the punter loses their car !

how come ? - when they dont own the car, or have the V5 ...or anything ..they physically have car in their showroom that does not belong to them

so no bailiffs or anything have claim to that vehicle if the dealer goes under

the only way you could lose it is if the dealer sells it to someone for cash without your permission ...without the V5 of course.....

I am sure there was a thread on phead in the last few months with something happening - I am sure it was a cerbera sold by a dealer in the very south who then went under and kept the money. I dont want to upset the mods but it was something along those lines?

Not only did they go under!!! They reopened the next day same name and all! Business as usual!
