Le-Mans Spares Box?

What spares should I be taking if I'm going to Le-Mans in a Tamora? Ideas of where to get these bits cheap would be good too - things like getting the coil pack from a senator in the scrappy etc! I'm thinking along the lines of coil pack, throttle cable repair kit and fan belt etc! Maybe thermostat and rad cap etc? cheers! Dom
Forgot about the 100amp fuses - will be familiarising myself with how to change it quickly (maybe relocate if I can find the post about doing that, anyone got a link?). I've seen a throttle cable repair kit for £14 instead of a whole new cable, has anyone used one of these? Maybe easier than trying to fit a whole new one by the roadside?

If you were planning a trip from London to Edinburgh how many spares would you take? Le Mans is closer for most who live in the South of England.
Don't go over the top - and remember that there will be 100s of other TVRs and general car enthusiasts/tinkerers there too (in case you need to borrow something).

Yep sorted for the hi-viz jackets, triangle, bulbs etc! Though apparently you're meant to have your V5 with you and MOT etc, sounds a bit dodgy keeping the V5 in the car - what do you guys do? I dont want to go over the top on spares, but I pick the car up next week so will need some bits and pieces to keep at home anyway, so I may aswell get them before le-mans. I'm not wanting to take loads of stuff, but if I could get a small few bits and pieces, ie fan belt, coil pack, throttle cable repair kit, fuses etc, it would give me fixes to a few problems which could leave me stranded! I carry a toolkit with me all the time in the TVR these days for any emergency repairs. I'm off to Le Mans again this year and will ensure I have it all with me. I mainly got the tools and spares together for long European driving holidays and trips to the Nurburgring as you never know what you might need (for example I've had my wipers come loose in torrential rain so they collided with each other causing havoc but didn't have anything to tighten the wipers up with again!).
In my tool kit there are general sockets, spanners, screw drivers, gaffer tape, cable ties, hose clips, pliers, Stanley knife, spare fuses (no 100amp fuse though! I'll have to find one of them), latex gloves for those messy jobs, wheel nut remover and some other bits and pieces. I do have a new throttle cable in there as I was recommended this at one point by TVR Power as a recommended spare for track use. All of this goes nicely into a Sparco WRC tool bag which keeps everything neat and organised and this can slide behind my seat. I also take an electronic tyre inflator, jump leads with the special Anderson connector on them and spare oil (along with a funnel to help pour it in) and a bottle of water for any emergency water top ups (maybe I should take coolant as well, this should be widely available and water will get you by). I like to also take some Autoglym glass cleaner and a cloth so you can easily clean the screen after having killed a million different bugs on it. Again all of this goes down the back of my seat normally.
I have to admit I also take a collapsible bucket, small bottle of wheel cleaner, a wash mitt and car shampoo so I can pretty much clean the car anywhere as long as there is water available. Sad I know but with the dust in the camp sites at Le Mans and all the bugs hitting the car on the way down it is nice to sometimes be able to clean the car and show it off in all its glory
This year I shall also add Graham Varley's Sagaris Workshop Manual to the things I carry around in the car the majority of the time.
My car was off of the road last year so I borrowed a Lotus Elise at the last minute to make the journey in. Suffice to say that with me, my wife, our camping gear and clothes there was little room left for any tools!
I do also take copies (as well as originals) of my V5, driving license, passport, insurance certificate, breakdown cover details and any other important documents. I also take a European driving kit I got from Halfords some years ago which I've added a couple of high vis jackets to as these weren't needed when I bought the kit. The kit contains a first aid kit in, warning triangle, GB sticker, headlamp converter and some other bits I think.
