Pre-inspection checks recommendations

Who would you guys recommend for a pre-inspection check for a T350?
Near the London area-(ish), so Racing Green, TVR Barnet, STR8SIX are all options. I think I know who I'd like to go with but wondering what those with experience would say?
What level of check would you suggest for a 2004 car between 15,000 and under 20,000 miles and no rebuild?
What I want checked as far as possible is the condition of the engine so as to judge whether a rebuild is imminent.

For a proper engine check I'd suggest you definitely need to get a garage to look at it. Of those you've mentioned I'd suggest any though top of the tree would be Jason at Straight 6, seeing as he actually builds the engines and knows them inside out. Then again the same can be said for Racing Green. Give the 3 of them a call and discuss your concerns and what you'd want checking to get a price.

Any good service place should be able to offer a decent pre-purchase inspection and hopefully put your mind at rest. However, you're not going to get a guarantee about the engine not failing within a few weeks of purchase - only way to tell is to take it to pieces which isn't going to happen. Best thing is to look for provenance, history, care, last owner, all the usual.
