Gearbox rebuild??

Mines done nearly 60k miles and is dragging slightly when going into 5th at high revs.

Anyone had their's rebuilt?

Who did it and how much did you pay?

I'm thinking it will be a winter job, but just testing the water.

Smithy, i had a gearbox rebuilt by Tvr Power a few years ago under warranty on a Tamora, was graunching going into 5th above 3k revs, would have cost about £500 at the time, believe it was the 5th gear synchro causing the problem.

Cheers, He's not to far from me actually. I use X-Works near blackpool for my servicing so it's not far from them at all. Might have to kill two birds with one stone for my next service.

John Reid supplied mine for my Chim 400. X works tuened me round in four hours! Breakfast in Scotland, lunch in Kirkham and Dinner in Scotland with new box. Mine was in a dreadful state and hated 1st and second!!
