I have been in the US for a week so I took the Sag out for a drive.

Is it the temperature but it seemed very flat. I have never seen my water temp in the late 90's and never seen my oil in the late 80's (unless on track) so thought it might be the temperature?

If not, what else could it be?

Yes out on Sunday. My tam was flat as a witches tit; had to drop 2 cogs to get the insane acceleration normally found by going down 1. I guess it has something to do with feeding the combustion chamber with warm(er) air which is less dense? than the cold air we normally are used to.

My water & oil are about the same at the moment!

My car yesterday felt like it had lost a bit of it's sparkle. Was having to try much harder than usual to dispatch the usual suspects encountered whilst out and about. Perhaps the adaptive maps for higher ambient air temperatures need improving?

i noticed the temps slightly higher than usual this weekend too... must be the hotter weather (plus sat in traffic a bit more as everyone seems to venture out on a sunny day)

Cooler air is more dense, the effect of less oxygen is more apparent in turbo charged cars but all cars suffer to an extent. If you normally run 95 then now is the time to stick some VPower/Tesco 99 in.

Also, when Mark Adams tuned mine up on Austec's rolling road he found that there was no data in the atmospheric pressure 'map'. (I'm probably using the wrong terms). Mark asked me if the car felt different in terms of responsiveness on hot dry days vs cooler wet days. Mine didn't feel any different, but I wonder if more cars came from the factory like this. (Took him another 30 minutes to load this data into the EPROM).

Mine felt a bit lacking last night and it wasnt hot and sunny! Probably just paranoia but the only change I've made is a tank of VPower a day earlier. Back to super next time, just in case.
