TVR T350 T fault code 137 + low oil temperature

Hi,

I just bought a TVR T350T red rose and although it is the perfect car for me and I enjoy every second I did get an error code. it was very hot outside and I decedied to test the aircon. I heard the click in the engine bay and got cold air but the next time I restarted I immediatly had fault code 137 on my dashboard. Anyone have an idea on what could be causing this?

Also I noticed that my engine does not reach temperatures above 50C easily while the water reaches 90C quite quickly. I do drive very calm until I reach at least 55C and still respect the orange light and change gears before it appears. Should I be worried?

Think the error code is one of those that most of us get but doesn't actually means anything. Pretty sure it says "A/C fault". Wouldn't worry too much about it. If you have cold air from the middle vents and hot from the top vents then you have a veyr normal TVR air con set up. If you got time and know what you doing (Graham on here is a great help) you can fix it so that cold air comes from all vents as you'd expect.

As for oil temp - it varies greatly with the air temp so when you driving along it will struggle to go that high. Saying that, once it has hit > 55 even if it drops below this while driving due to the cold air, it will be still ok to give it some beans as the oil is internally up to temp still

Yes the oil temprature is ussually a bit out if your driving as cool air passes over the sensor. might be worth getting it hooked up to a laptop to see what temprature its really running at. The fault code - did it come up for a couple of seconds or less then go away? This fault is caused by the sensors taking a second to get correct readings so it believe's it has a fault.

yes the fault code only appears when starting up and only for a few seconds.
