Im having trouble getting a smooth gearchange notchy in all gears.
Power have recently replaced the slave seals i spoke to dom about it today and he suggested adjusting the floor peddle to get more travel.
Removing the cover i noticed a small teaspoon of red oil on the floor near the entry point for the brake pipes.
I can't see how gearbox oil can get in the car so im thinking maybe leaking clutch fluid as my interior of the car is red and maybe the dye in the insulatin is turning the colour.
Best described as half a clutch can't do fast changes.
Dom assures me the clutch is ok and he does'nt think the box is knackered.
Would a leaking master cylinder cause this notchiness the brakes are ok and no low level warning.
Any idea guys?

If the clutch M/C is leaking then you will not get full stroke on the clutch & can cause gear selection problems
Ian
Thanks for that,Ian
Just the red oil burning question could the insulation getting warm turn the colour red?
Just a footnote the slave was diagnosed as lack of use maybe the M/C has gone the same way car wasn't used for a year before i bought it.
I have now done 1400 miles in 2 months.

Given the car a good town run and gears mich better.
By moving the pedal forward by 5mm it worked
Still not sure about the red oil
I might give this a try as some of my gears feel tight following the fitment of a new clutch and slave cylinder.By moving the pedal forward by 5mm it worked

Remove cover.
Remove 1 E clip on clutch pedal and push out pin.
Flop peddle towards you use 2 13mm spanners to loosen lock nuts and wind back adjuster a few turns.
Put back together and test run.
I might do the same now on the brake peddle to line up.
Regards.
No problem.
The post made me go take a look and found more fluid only done 50 miles since i last wiped it up.
Had a good look and i reckon i have found the problem.

There is a lot of play in the shaft and the rubber boot is wet so my therory is right the dye on the insulation turns the fluid red.
Looks a pig of a job but i'll give it ago.
