On friday night i started to get water sensor come on the dash getting more frequent now on all the time even before i start her.
Did get me worried the first time but when it varies between 90 and 250 thought must be sensor car wasn't overheating.
Ordered one today and tonight stripped of air box ready.
Pulled of connecter and it's full of brown grease?
Looks like copper slip mixed with water after a good blow out and loads off wd40 put back connecter and turned on ignition.
No water sensor on dash!!
Did'nt start as i have removed clutch master cylinder also ready for the part to arrive.
Is this a commen fault to get water in the black plug??
Problem 2
Also noticed ive got a oil leak coming from the bottom oil return pipe leaking on the elbow off the banjo.
Is this a direct replacement pipe or can you get the elbow bit?

Zippie might be able to help on this as he changed his recently. When mine came up with the sensor fault it was the connection not the actual sensor that was iffy, had to re-make the terminals as the spade connector was buggered

Got my parts today.
Received a thermistor not a coolant sensor.
Reading the yellow tags the thermistor is the water sensor and the coolant sensor is for the ECU
Not quiet sure as why there are 2.
Anyway water sensor came on dash so i replaced the thermistor completed the clutch master cylinder and road tested.
Clutch ok hopefully cured the leak and ran the car deliberatly round town temp reached 95 and it's a very warm evening and no warnings on dash.
Out on a club meet sunday so that should test it.
Only had the car 3 months and worked on it more than the chim i have just sold.
