Handbrake Switch?

Is there a switch on the handbrake. As my light is staying on it will go off if I push the lever down hard.

I could be wrong, but don't the brake fluid level warning light and handbrake light share the same bulb, although if you can turn the light off by pushing down on the handbrake, that switch sounds like a more likely candidate.

Might be worth checking the fluid level as well just to be sure...

Mine's doing exactly the same (fluid is ok) haven't had chance to sort yet so just put blob of tape on dash so doesn't distract me from all the more important lights!

Yes there is, remove centre consol its under the hand brake. Power sell new ones if its knackered but just sounds like an alignment issue, mine played up when I had the centre bit off to adjust the mictowave sensor. Watch your fingers it bloody hurts if you trap em under the handbrake while playing about with the switch
