My grand plan has been thrown into turmoil!

Seriously considering selling my pride & joy as I have a new toy on the way ( ... as instructed by bank manager and "she that must be obeyed"). So I thought, give it a professional "clean" and it'll be easier to sell? Found my local detailer (never having used one before), Jay at Gleaming Kleen (www.gleamingkleen.co.uk) and this happened ...

(Here is the detailed write up by Jay........ )

Firstly i foamed the car with AG Powermax 3

Next up were the wheels and arches - i used Surfex HD and a brush for the arches and tyres and Epsuma Revolution Wheel Cleaner for the wheels:

AFTER

Wheels were clayed and treated to a coat of Zaino AIO

Wheel inners also recieved a coat of Zaino CS and inner tyre wall was dressed before fitting back on to vehicle

Next up I applied G101 to all door shuts and crevices and gave them a good clean with mitt

I then proceeded to wash the car with the 2 bucket method and Megs Shampoo Plus

My next step would usually be to clay, however customer had some protection film and a few other bits he wanted removed so I set about removing these first

Vehicle was then clayed with Sonus green and Megs Last Touch as lube

After claying vehicle was given another foam with a weak mix of AG Powermax 3 and rinsed at high pressure. Vehicle was dried and paintwork was inspected and paint measurements were taken using the Positestor 200

I set about finding a combo and settled on using Gloss It Evolution Cut on a 3M Polishing pad primed with Gloss It EVP, some area's on bonnet required 3M FCP

Due to the colour of vehicle I struggled to get some decent pics of the swirls and gave up after awhile but here is few defects that I did manage to capture.

Targa Tops removed to allow me to reach some of the tighter area's

After all correction was finished paintwork was then refined using Menz 85RD

Vehicle was given a IPA wipedown and a coat of Swissvax Divine was applied

Exhausts polished using Brillant Metal polishes

Wheel faces protected with Swissvax Autobahn and tryes dress with Swissvax Pneu

Interior was clean and only needed a good vacuum, all surfaces wiped down, leather cleaned and conditioned and all seals treated with Swissvax Seal Feed

Some finished shots

To be honest it looks BETTER than new now! The paint almost looks alive!

Highly recommended!

Now ... do I sell or what?!

Your T350c looks stunning. I think it may have just made my mind up on what car to get next. I would buy it in a flash if I had the money sitting in the bank. What year and how much would you want for it.

Just to be a pedant - Its a T350T (targa).

It looks stunning though, really suits the colour! For some reason you don't tend to find many 350s in cascade or reflex, most tend to be spectraflair silver!

What sort of cost does that level of detailing come in at and how long did it take him?

He was working on it for about 3 days; better let Jay quote you on price as it all depends on car, condition and location I guess? I think what I paid was great value, considering the time and materials used. Got to be honest, I was a bit sceptical about detailers before I got the work done ... but the way the colours have been brought out and imperfections removed I'm completely convinced now! He's also recommended a cleaning regime that'll mean it can be kept in that condition quite easily and for a long time!

It looks stunning!
I don't know what the colour is but it really works well with the car.

I have spent ages (many weeks) detailing my Sag and the difference a lot of elbow grease and the right products make is amazing. Vid of mine here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=istPsqM-5Vk

Now you have your car this clean, its really easy to keep on top of given a couple of hours a week.

Don't sell her - keep and enjoy her.

That's an interesting car combination, a friend has one, think you'll enjoy keeping both as chalk & cheese.

T350 - not normally keen on the more excessive colours, but yours is lick

Very impressive! She really does look amazing and the quality of the work done too.
My toy is going to get this treatment for sure!
I personally think you'll regret selling, I came to buy a gallardo until I realised my t350 will give me more pleasure and exclusivity at a fraction of the cost. It also whoops the raging bull on track!

ive just got my wife outta bed to come and see your car,her opinion, your off your rocker to sell,
my opinion, its the nicest t350t ive seen, the colour is amazing.
mine is moonraker black and although i wax it every week,i could never get the shine yours has.

IMHO,nothing has the presence of a tvr on the road and IMHO the t350 is my favourite tvr and if yours is the best ive seen! well, theres your answer.

What a Smashing looking 350!
I adore that colour, very unusual to see a Cascade (Copper?) T car indeed, it suits the shape of the car so well tho' IMO! cool
