Idle speed

Dear All,

For a couple of months now my T350 has idled at about 450/500 revs when just started from cold and would stall unless you touch the accelerator a little. But within about a minute or 2 its fine at 600-700 until warm when its 950.

But more recently when it gets really warm the idle speed sometimes goes up to 1400, but sometimes it's ok back down to 950.

From a search of previous posts I suspect the problem might be a faulty crank shaft speed sensor. Is this something that's easy to change myself? Only I see they don't cost much and I'd like to try before I spend time taking it to the garage. Or is there anything else to try?

Might just be dirty and needs cleaning. Mine was however knackered and it cost me about £30 for the bit (off a ford) & about £40 in labour to get it fitted and set up by Castle.
