Sagaris Service Bonnet Paint

The black coating on the underneath of my service bonnet has started to flake and come off.
So far it's only on the flap above the oil tank but I guess the rest will start to flake at some point too.
Anybody know what I should paint or cover it with ?
As that area gets extremely hot I'm not sure what to use.
