12 months of TVR ownership

Well today marks the eve of my first 12 months of TVR ownership! What a fantastic time. No other car looks, sounds or goes like the TVR. The attention at times is a little odd but she's always a good talking point

Purchased private at a massive reduction over what the dealers wanted Its been 100% reliable. Had to shell out for a new ally rad and a set of HT leads but thats it. The insurance is half what it cost last year, now just under £500.

Gave her a good polish today before I celebrate the aniversary with a 400 mile round trip up north. Enjoy the pics! Heres to the next 12 months.......

Sounds like you have had a great year wuth your TVR...I will be on day one on Wednesday with a T350T so hope I have a trouble free experience like yourself.

How the hell have you kept the nose free of stone chips? Mine looks like it's been machine gunned

She's led a shelterd life, only 12.5K when I got her at 7 yrs old now on 16.5K. There are a couple of small chips but the photo dose not show them. The paint shield helps I think.

Thanks Andy, I am sure you will. I think there is a little bit of luck involved as well as looking after it. Show it respect, don't hammer it from cold or drive it like a nutter and it will be fine.

By driving everywhere at under 60mph. Must be a good law-abiding PHer :-)

Exactly! but.... using only 1st & 2nd gear as it sounds better

The only problem with that is I find myself very quickly up the ar5e of the car in front - and get machine gunned again!

Nice idea. I have the 'TVR beacause Porkhas are for girls' sticker at the moment. I also have a photo from Chatsworth of a number plate with the message 'my other toy has t*ts' on it. I keep meaning to get a set of plates with it on but not sure the missus will let that one pass though!

That is the sad nature of the beast - the beast being human!

As a rule, we only ever seem to be bothered when we have a gripe about something. Maybe we should start a weekly 'Positive' thread...?
