My Old Motor - Write Off....

Hello!
My pride and joy was written off by a complete muppet back in Dec 2009:-

Was wondering when it would appear back for sale:-

What I can't understand is, how can this car be written off but remain "not recorded"??
The car was looked at by x2 experts and it's more than "a door and sill" according to AutoWash, the chassis was pushed in, rollcage bent over and rear window was not lining up with bodywork (re=spray alone could be $2k+).
I still miss it a lot and never bonded with the Esprit V8 TT which replaced her, ended up selling that a few weeks ago and purchased a x1 owner SLK 55 AMG, all the toys and just added the supersprint X-PIPE which is almost on a par with my T350 in sound, what a noise from the 5.4 V8.
Anyhow, if anyone goes for my old motor then don't hesitate to drop me a private mail, happy to answer any questions but I would doubt it will drive in a straight line with only a door and sill.

Yea I did look into it and spoke to a few couple of respected bodyshops and individuals, who were very helpful etc, and they all advised that, due to the damage the outrigger would be bent and that the price he is quoting for a "full repair" is no-where near what you need to spend.
Cheers for posting it up buckster. Been looking at the pics again and it looks like the passenger seat belt has been cut, was there anyone in there? Hope they were ok..

Some are saying this car is over priced. What price do you put on a timeless British treasure that is no longer made and that has been completely restored ?
Over priced or supply and demand ?
Surely if you rang them they would tell you it's been in a crash........ wouldn't they?

Sometimes cars at dealers are up for sale on a Sale-Or-Return basis on behalf of the owners. In that instance the owner may request they try and sell for a higher price. I do not know if this is the case with some of the higher-priced TVRs at dealers, but it may be.
When we as owners (mostly), or prospective owners who are realistic about the price/value of these cars start saying certain cars are overpriced then it must mean something - its not as if we would talk down the market that much.
For what it is worth, I would personally value a car that has been rebuilt lower than one that has not. However, a minor ding is no big deal - its not as if TVR built the straightest cars on the road :-)

edited to say,it does look great now,the colour is stunning IMO.
