Tamora - Wonky Door

Hi All

Finally parted with some cash and bought a Tamora, now i understand they have niggles and it appears to have a few. but the main concern is the drivers side door appears to be rubbing by the lock, this wear is minor, but it is rubbing the paint. i think its because the locking mechanism isn't either supporting the door properly or the actual door hinge needs a tweak. Strainge thing is the door appears to fit and shows the right gaps etc.

Any ideas?

On a side note, and to be clear this is not a massive concern, just a niggle i'd like to get sorted, if i wanted something engineered to death and bullet proof I would have bought some aviators and a BMW. But there is no sense of occasion with that and to be honest boring. Tamora = LOUD and goes like stink..... even the girlfriend likes it! = Good Purchase

I had the same concern... mine has been played with and they still can't stop it. I have been advised to rub the door down in that area.

I looked into geting little bits of plastic lam to cover those areas too (like the porkys do). But I never bothered.

Not had this, but I think garages normally add a shim or two to the hinge to lift the door a bit - I could be wrong. Whatever the case, it isn't a small job as you need to play with the door hinges to get it right.

You can pull back the carpet just in front of the door to access the hinge adjusters. My Graham Varley manual details the procedure for adjusting them to realign the door- I dont have it to hand for you Im afraid, but I dare sat that if you have a look in that area it should be reasonbly self explanatory.

If thats the noise its making, theres something far wrong....you need to go and have the pops and bangs fitted!!!!!

When i complained to my 'dealer' (at the time) of badly fitting
doors they used the good old silicon tape along the
bottom of the door seal, just near the edge..
did the trick.
