Chocolate brake pads

The last owner of my car had all the pads changed at service (previous pads were breaking up). Now I've been able to drive the car with a little spirit I hate them. No bite and they feel like they are made from chocolate. The only advantage is that they do not squeal.

I've used Ferodo DS2500 to good effect in the past and may get some of these. However I have heard people mention Carbon Lorraine pads. Who what and where do I get these? I don't want the brakes to be too noisy, and they must work from cold so I don't run granny miggins over at the top of the road.

Carbons do work very well, but they don't half destroy the wheels (very corrosive).

I know it probably not the same as its a different car, and I dont like to name and shame companies that make good products, BUT its important for you to know that I used the Carbone lorraine pads on my Megane and they ruined the wheels and the brake dust stuck to the whole of the bottom of the car, the doors, sills, bootlid and rear bumper took 2 days of me using a clay bar (no shampoo or a jet wash could take it off) to remove all of the dust. They are decent pads, but for the track only. If you value your paint work then id steer clear. I know of a couple of people the use them and they wash thier car after every drive.

this is a new compound, so not to be confusedwith earlier ones
At oulton park this Wednesday 16th, so will report back.

But so far
For road use appear v good & don't dust too much, but can sqeal with heavy use, deminishing when proper hot.
Initial bite even when hardly warm 'throws you over the handle bars'
