T350 'Coughing' Flat Spot Hesitation Problem

My T350 has developed a flat spot. It starts and ticks over fine but when you go to pull away and give it some gas the engine hesitates. Once above approx 1500 it's fine. If you go to pull away quickly from a junction etc then it has been known to 'cough' from the engine bay. I presume the airbox? It's much better when you first start the car. Once warmed up the problem is much worse. It NEVER causes the car to stall though. I would have taken it back to the local dealer but they went bust this week (Dream Machines). I just wondered if this was a common fault and if anyone knew of an easy fix?

Could be a throttle potentiometer needs a tweak. Could be something more. Whatever the case it needs someone who knows the engine. I suggest taking it to a local indie - aren't Leven nearest?

I'm in East Kent. Walldonway near Maidstone are the closest I think?

If you are close to Dream Machines, then not too far from Taylor TVR in Aylesford.

Seems to know what he's doing .

Even closer then!

Taylor TVR is about five mins from Walldonway.

I think that Walldonway are less interested in TVRs these days (if you know what I mean )

Yes he is good (ex Leven)

My dad takes his Cerb. there (and he's a fussy old fart) and most of the local SELNWK TVR boys take their cars to him.

Book early as he is pretty busy!

I had exactly the same problem with the Tamora. Throttle pots needed adjusting. 10 mins plugged in to the laptop at TrackVRoad had it sorted. Hopefully yours will be just as straight forward.
