T350 rattle from engine bay - air con related?

Hi all!
Have got a loud rattle coming from the engine bay, seems to stop when I turn on the air con but returns within 30 secounds, and if turned off an on again the noise will stop again etc etc!!!!
Any 1 have any ideas?
Sounds more serious than the air con gone wrong but has a definate effect from using the air con!

I have a concerning noise coming from the engine bay , i ran the car over to Dom at Power and he diagnosed a warn air con pump bearing . The noise is quite distinct but goes if you load the bearing ( turn on air con ) You could have the same problem but i would get it to a specialist to check it out .

If you turn your AC on and you hear a rattling sound from the compressor it would point to the system being short of oil.
Has it lost its refrigerant in the past a few times and been topped up without any oil? Has it slowly started to do it?
If yes to the above I would suggest the current gas is removed and the system recharged with refrigerant and oil. Should not cost you that much but if this is the case and you leave it your compressor will fail.
If it doesnt cure it the damage has already been done to the compressor.

I have booked it in at TVR Power next Tuesday,
The rattle actually goes away when the air con is switched on, but returns after 30 secs. On turning off an on again the rattle goes away for 30 secs again, so does not sound quite like thats the issue Lee.
Just hope its not to serious, only owned 3 months so not sure if there have been any air con issues
