Why are the Sagaris's at Castle not selling

As the thread says why arn't the Sagaris's not selling at this dealership? It seems that these 2 silver cars have been there for many months and even though the prices have been reduced they are not moving.
I have seen them in the flesh and they seem reasonably priced for the condition, but is there somethign everyone knows that they are not telling?

Totally agree, but all the rest seem to move on through the classifieds here on Pistonheads although some take longer than others.
Is it the colour, spec, condition.
I regularlly check the classifieds just for interest and you see the same cars over and over again sitting around and not moving.
The market is a very specific one as you have correctly said but other simiarly priced or more expensive cars eventually are sold. It doesnt seem to make sense?
Is there that much between them in terms of condition in cars that are only 3-4 years old with fairly low mileage?

The vast majority of TVR owners aren't going to drive them to work every day so it's only for recreational use at the weekend. In other words it's an indulgence that we could all live without when times are hard.
And once you've bought the car there's the high cost of maintaining it. I don't know many people who are eager to take that on whilst they're fearing for their jobs.

For me the dark grey one is gorgeous apart from the inside, I really dislike the light grey and bright red combo, if inside was black and a darker red I would be a lot more interested, the silver one is ok but silver is a normal colour (very popular colour for any car) and for me the interior seems very dark. although silver is very nice I would much prefer a different colour that you dont see on normal cars,

Agree with the interior on the grey one....Love the outside but then that grey colour inside is shocking...Colour is very personal but I think a Sag looks good in any colour as it such a stunning shape it will always jump out at you on the road.

maybe its just me, but silver/grey colours are last on my list for a lairy sportscar like a TVR ...maybe for a daily driver German exec, but not something I think "wow" ....too understated IMO - out of the current Sags for sale would have to be the cascade one for me

As people say - correct price, but neither of the interiors do it for me....
The red is too much, and the other one - did someone skin John Major and use him as an interior?

Castle are a very good dealer so I guess they're just unfortunate in having the cars sitting around for a while, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. My T350 had been on their forecourt for about 8 months before I bought it and it was by far and away one of the best I found (and I tried pretty much every single car in the classifieds at the time)
I agree in part with the lairy colours coment earlier but IMHO only for the Sag, the 350 I feel suits a more muted colour.

Also remember that dealers get a lot of timewasters, quite possible the car has been 'sold' and then maybe finance doesn't come through etc. I know this happened a couple of times recently elsewhere!

There is one thing which I personally worry about when cars are sitting at dealers for a long time. That is how they are used/test driven etc. If the car just sits and is not started then no issue. BUT, if the car is started and moved every few days, or left outside for months without being moved so everything siezes up a little (but not completely), or if it is test driven every few weeks for 5-10 miles THEN I think this may be a major contribution to the engine problems some people get. I'd rather a car was either regularly used, or put away and not used.I know these guys are a good dealer, and I am not saying they treat cars badly whatsoever, but IMO there may be a link between the engine problems you had and the time the car spent sat sitting around. I believe they fixed your car without quibble and this is absolutely not a comment about Castle. It is a general comment about cars for sale for a long time.
I totally agree with you and it's certainly a thought that occurred to me a few times. As you mention they sorted it without quibble and were brilliant in that respect.
It's a potential problem though with any dealer but there is that comfort net with the warranty, theres a risk in all buying situations and I unfortuantely found this out the hard way but I was very glad of the dealer back up.

Keep your bling colours and mexican interiors. The Sagaris doesnt need it. The Iced Tit car is a class "grown-up" coulour combination.
I tend to agree, but you can't argue with personal preference. I went for Starmist Grey, never regretted it.
