More refined than a Tuscan?

...I know, a bit of a strange question.
Despite tolerating the Chimaera, my better half has never got on with the Tuscan and in my advancing years (33!!!) one or two of the niggles are beginning to annoy me too. I've spent a lot of time and effort and a few quid on reducing the targa panel rattles and creaks and wind noise but I'm finding motorway journeys a pain - mainly due to wind noise.
Has anyone gone from a Tuscan to a T350 and can offer a comparison - does the fixed roof help keep unwanted cabin noise down?

My T350t is silent from the targa panels but does get a lot of wind noise from the drivers window. Mainly due to the door seal not being thick enough against the glass - hence the air pressure at speed pulls the glass away from the seal.
IIRC a change to a thicker door seal from a Ford Focus helps alleviate this and it's something I plan to do over winter.

I can`t speak of the T350, but its fairly similar to the Sagaris and a weird statement that I was always asked (by non-TVR owners) is "how much does it squeak" or "how many rattles does it have"..
Honestly I`ve only one, sometimes the drivers side window squeaks when closed.. a quick up/down a few millimeters fixes it..
Apart from that I`ve not noticed anything else, nor has the ever observant gf

I had this, I kept forgetting to do anything about it and then I would go off on a long journey and it would start and drive me mad! The night before I went to Britcar at Silverstone I remembered and gave all the rubber seals a wipe with silicone spray, did the trick and it hasn't squeaked since......KillerJim said:

Identical on my Sag. The drivers side is missing the small piece of black plastic that the passenger window has to stop the drop glass chattering against where it comes into contact with the roof.Honestly I`ve only one, sometimes the drivers side window squeaks when closed.. a quick up/down a few millimeters fixes it..

My Tamora had very little wind noise. Wind noise only really got noticable above 100mph when on a track day etc

I have owned both cars and I must admit I am a bit suprised by your coment on the Tuscan.I had a mk1 S and never had any squeeks or rattles. However as you have tried everything the T 350 has been excellent and if you go for a later one I am sure you will be very happy as far as build quality is concerned.Having said that I would get the other half into one before you commit as the Tuscan is roomier inside especialy on the passenger side and my wife much preferred the Tuscan seats.

I'm 20 years your senior next month and drive my t350 daily.Some of my work colleagues think I'm mad, but I maintain that I'm the only sane one. Maybe they are correct, but I don't think so....
PS
No squeaks, no rattles 35,000 miles and very few problems (one new clutch, new set of shocks and a snapped accelerator cable).
