T350 upgrades!

Cars in at TVR Power atm gettin a repair. So thought while it was there I could upgrade as I want to make it sound a bit more aggressive like a TVR should! what would every one recommend?

Decat?
Sports exhaust?
Back box?

A power exhaust should be loud enough unless you like popping pills

I had mine decatted recently but kept the std back box. I think that adds a little more volume without being too mental and it pops and bangs on the overrun like a goodun!

Each to their own with exhausts when it comes to TVRs but I use mine daily and (for me) the TVR Power exhaust would have been too much.

If you intend to use the car for trackdays, bear in mind that the TVR power exhaust is pretty close (if not over) the db limit for many tracks - I tested a mates car (with said box) recently at around 105db. That said I haven't checked mine to get a comparison.

I have NTELs Decats and a JP Sports Back Box - sounds insane! Inconvenience for track days and MOT though.

Go for the power pipes, they sound INCREDIBLE, fine at motorway speeds as well. One of the best upgrades i've done to mine. The JP and Blue flame versions are just too quiet in my opinion, I mean it's a TVR for christs sake. People are supposed to think the world is coming to an end when one flys by.

For info, I also have decats & std backbox to avoid track issues, tested every few weeks during the season and gives 102-104db depending on how it's measured etc.

I have no cats no boxes just straight through pipes opening to 70mm bore at the diff. For track days I use supertrapps that get it down to about 105db with a little tacho help. You would not want it any louder.

Also worth mentioning that Power do a remapped chip for c. £150 for use with decats. Fueling is adjusted to reduce chance of detonation at high revs / load.

Where do you buy supertraps ? as I've not heard of them before. I'm in a similar position to you - decat (with NTEL's pipes), straight through (I have a cherry bomb on each pipe though) so anything to get me through noise regs would be good. Do the Supertraps noticeably affect power ?

Demon Tweeks, I use the 5" with 10 discs per pipe with 1mm washers between the discs to let them breath easier. Power loss is negligible.

this is true,ive the power pipes on mine and it sounds great,as the guy at tvr power said after fitting them,thats a real mans car now. enough said?

Do you need to set set the adaptives when you fit the remapped chip, or is it a case of plug and play?

Im persuaded to go for the TVR power exhuasts, Dom (from Power) recommended these are a good starting point and provides better performance than just decats (and recommended to keep the cats in if good condition).

Tempted to do the remap, is this worth it?
