Sagaris Standard Wheels?

After a cock up by the garage I bought the Sagaris from I have decided to replace the standard spiders for some new ones, however I always thought that they were the same all the way round (in width terms), but not apparently on mine, which has narrower front rims. Is this normal?

Nope, they are the same all round. Hopefully someone will be along soon to second that.

Well on the T350 the fronts are a different offset to the rears, I think the Sagaris is the same. Look carefully at the area around the wheel bolts and you'll notice the rears look more 'dished'. I am not sure if the wheels are actually wider at the rear though.

Thanks, thats what I believed. All the specification sheets say 8.5" all round. I am sure someone will be along soon to confirm or deny !

I dont want to put on the wrong wheels, but on the other hand it looks like the wrong ones may be already fitted.

My local TVR specialist have said they always believe that the 'R' in TVR stands for 'Random'.

They are the same size all round, offsets front/rear are different

Front Wheels 18” SPIDER x 8.5”
5 stud- 4 1/2” PCD 114.3mm offset 42mm

Rear Wheels 18” SPIDER x 8.5”
5 stud- 4 1/2” PCD 114.3mm offset 33mm

We have now sorted the issue. Would have helped if the supplying dealer had done what they were asked to do. Will never buy a car from them again!

Should be able to check what widths you have on currently, all the info posted above is on the back of the wheel face.

We were ok on what was on there so no point in checking the wheels that were on the car. The problem was that they had been told they were the same all around (which they didn't believe), but thats what PH is for. Thanks guys all sorted. If I told you how much I paid for a set of Spiders I think you would all cry!

The rear Sagaris rims should not be interchanged with the front? As the offsets are different.

I don't know about should not, they CANNOT be changed back to front
The difference in offsets means you cannot bolt the back wheels on the front as the brake callipers foul the wheels.

We have now sourced the correct wheels. Amazing how even the dealers struggle.......

We are also in the process of modifying the standard sagaris exhaust to improve clearance and stop it grounding out (It will also bring up the diffuser skid plate). We will have before and after dyno figures although I am not expecting any real difference.
