Tamora door adjustment

hi everyone ,

does anyone know if it is easy to adjust the fitment of the door an my tamora.

the passanger door is a very tight fit and is wearing the paint off the door and where it closes ,
adjusting the catch wont help i dont think , i was wondering if you can adjust the hinge end.

Yes, it's technically very easy, but may require some trial and error.

Remove the carpet in the footwell and you can see the allen bolts that hold the hinges. My top tip is to support the open door with a trolley jack and block of wood before you loosen the bolts, and only loosen them a little, then you can raise the door slightly with the jack before you re-tighten the bolts.

Doors frequently rub on the body and it's actually very difficult to adjust them to prevent it.

You need to be careful to avoid making the gap too large as the catch that locates into the lock on the body is quite limited in tolerence.

If you make the fit too tight you'll find that the door wont shut when the car is hot due to expansion of the chassis.

It's easier to leave it unless you're wearing down the bodywork a lot.
