They look fantastic when paitned especially when you throw on the carbon cam cover too.....Hopefully get some pics on here of the finished cover.

TOV!E's sort of right. In the future people will buy a 3.6 thinking it's had an engine conversion/rebuild, because of the red top.
On a slightly more serious note, you should find out if your cam cover is blasted or dipped before powder coating. One group of friends (ex-Factory), believe that blasted leads to Speed Six engine problems as you just can't help but blast some of the edge and underside (usually the whole underside is done to make it look nicer); my other mate (who owns a powder coating business) says this is tosh.

Hi Ian, long time no see!
My car is also at Dulfords getting an mot, 12000 mile service, new tires and having the leather re-trimmed on the drivers seat and door card. Might see you down there, but if not would be great to get back into the Brizzle runs.
Mine has been coated red and yes, it looks a lot better!

I remember when I were a lad folk fitting Mexico badges on 1100 Escorts....could never understand that either.I dont beleive anyone is trying to fool people into thinking the car has had a conversion / rebuild.
It's simply a case of tidying up the engine bay and choosing a colour that looks good and suits the car. I think the before and after pictures support this view.
