Window goes down, but wont go back up

Help! On my 350 the passenger side window goes down fine but wont go back up. Driver side is ok and dips and resets when getting in as it should. No such luck on the other side.

Noticed the problem tonight when openeing the passenger side and the window didn't drop slightly. So pressed the button and down it went but the up button does nothing.

It a bit chilly with it open, so any help would be good

OK the alarm keyfob should reset the windows; just lock the car and your window buttons should be overridden and go back up.

If the control box thinks the door is open the glass will not go up. Check the door is closing properly , the microswitch in the lock is working , or failing that , swap control boxes over to see if it is that.

Cheers for that guys, just set the alarm and the window closed, result! Problem is I dropped it slightly to open the door and the problems back with the window down and wont reset with the alarm.

Points to the microswitch as I try and set the alarm and it simply flashes the door open button surround light a few times (drivers side though, even more confusing) and wont lock the passenger side. Will take to bits at weekend and investigate, found a couple of old threads that should point me in the right direction.

So TVR sat on the drive window open, unlocked and no alarm, fingers crossed until the weekend! Have a cover thankfully

Well your car should at least be immobilised!

I suspect the microswitch in the door too - passenger doors tend to go first as they slam the door all the time thinking its some kind of German thing where the doors don't fit and you need to slam them :-( You could probably have a fiddle yourself if you've got some small screwdrivers - do a search on what to do, you might just get it to work for a bit (but you need daylight to see!).

Edited to say, of course you could try slamming the door yourself now its probably buggered anyway.

Hi had the same on the tam, took the door switch out found the relay arm bent,
tried to repair it then dropped it inside the body,and no you can not get it
out, managed to get a new arm and replaced it, all been fine since.

Sometimes a plug which is (for the T 350) located behind the carpet behind the door catch becomes a bit loose and produces a niggling fault causing exactly this )or the contacts are corroded and need some cleaning)
Worth checking as a cheap fix...
