LED lights

Any of you guys here switched their normal Tungsten filament bulbs for LED versions?

The 'fried egg' look of an orange bulb behind the Tam's clear lenses is starting to grate a little and I quite like the visual graphic LED lights produce.

Cocking around with a Trev's electrics on the otherhand scares the crap out of me...I've been blessed with a fault free wiring system so far and wiring the necessary (heat emmiting) resitors into the loom really doesn't fill me with unbridled joy.

Any insight or advice welcome.

I did try some LED sidelight bulbs when I had the Tamora - and they looked a bit blue and really chav-like. I did have the comment that it looked as though I had ram-raided halfords

Great idea, but in the flesh, they didn't work.

I did go through a few pairs too. I'm guessing the TVR electrics are little "dirty" as a several led bulb would always blow a few of its LEDs in no time at all on the passenger side only. Few set of bulbs and always the same issue. 1 side of the car dull and 1 side very bright

Same here - some LEDs went pop in now time overall look was not as good as expected (especially on the rear were LEDs are somewhat not reflected and the indicator relais goes bananas - you ll need to fit load resistors (which you can indeed pick up at chafords....)
All I kept in the end was the numberplate ones and the interior ones as well as the brake ones...

Balls to that idea then...I have found a set of Philips Silver Vison bulbs that should do the job.

On the Tam there are far too many clear lenses all sporting coloured bulbs behind them which looks cack...equally, I don't want to 'chav my ride' in the effort.

When I had my M3 I bought and fitted some Solaris bulbs. Straight swap and looked really good.
