Have seen a silver sagaris at castle, was featured in evo. The reg no. is LF05 GKZ. I couldn't find it on the register.
Does anyone know anything about the history of this car?
Any info is much appreciated, before parting with my cash!

I currently run an exige s as a daily drive, have not had a peep of trouble from it, and am planning to use sagaris the same. Am I playing with fire?!?

I could be mistaken, but I believe the car was sold ages ago.

Some dealers are advertising cars which don't actually exist, at very low prices in order to drive down the trade in prices that they offer...

Like I said, I could be mistaken, but I seam to recall a post very recently about someone going to see the exact same car and it wasn't until they were 5 mins away, the phoned to find out it had "just" gone.

Appologies if it isn't this car that I read about.

They had a grey one and silver one...Pistonheads classifieds has the silver one still for sale and the dealer web site has the grey one for sale and no the silver. I believe the grey one sold and the silver ones left.....Don't know much anout it but it does look a cracker. Good luck and let us know what you think....

I use a T350T everyday after owning 9 Lotus from Elise to Exige and although I love Lotus I find the T350T a better everyday car. Don't think I would go back.

The Sagaris Wiki isn't perfect - mine is mentioned twice, and the Dubai Sagaris isn't mentioned at all...

I hope castle isn't having me on, I've bought from them before. If they mess me about it's not great business, because then I won't buy from them again!

My main worry with the sag, as every new TVR owner ponders, is will I regret buying it due to reliability.
Plus owning a car like that comes with a certain stigma, I work with people who will only be too delighted if I phone up in the morning saying my car couldn't get me to work. Needless to say they all drive 'VAG cars'and seem to resent that I drive an exige to work.

They did have 2 silver Sags in for a while. I think the one with red seats went. In my experience Castle are pretty good people.

Dont worry about the people you work with, just tell them you have the BALLS to drive a saggy.

Excellent - glad my original concearns were incorrect.

I've only heard good things for Castle. My Sag came from castle and has been looked after tham all of her life and I've had no issues whatsoever.

Try and get them to throw a 12k service in (expensive) and also throwing in a warrenty might be worthwhile (for peace of mind more than anythnig).

After you've got yourself a Sag, get yourself a copy of Graham Varleys Sag manual / bible - its amazing what you can do yourself given the knowhow.

I ran an '06 Exige S before my Sag and I don't think you'll be disappointed. Even though I had a 2bular exhaust fitted to the Lotus, the sound of the Sag alone makes it worth it! Plus overall it is a more comfortable car, and faster on good roads. Round a track or on broken surfaces the Exige would be faster.

Neither are much good in the rain! ;0)

I mainly got rid of my Exige, to be honest, because of the shocking build quality from new. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Sag better bolted together.

Good luck with the test drive.

I take it you don't agree? wink
Sure - on the straights the Sag would catch up, but it wouldn't get close round a series of twisty corners I'm afraid. Having owned and tracked both, I feel I'm in a strong position to comment .... especially as my low level of driving skill is the only common factor between the tests ..... smile

I have been on circuit at a track day with a very well driven 240bhp Exige 240 (Lotus Development Driver) at Croft. Certainly that was no match for my Sagaris. Maybe Croft is a bad example??

edited to add..

Its always difficult to know how hard other drivers are pushing. I have had an Elise Sports Racer and I know what cornering speed I could carry in that, but it was just far to short of puff on the sraight bits and out of corners, brakes weren't wonderful either in comparison with the Sag.

Not much in it thou....

Also that looks like the figures for the Exige-S which is 220bhp, the performance pack adds another 20bhp and better brakes, I can't see there being much in it tbh, although the exige s pp may be easier to extract the best from.!!! Both great cars though!!!

I purchased my T350t from Castle this time last year and can't fault them.
Great bunch of guys and, despite a couple of teething problems with my car, they sorted it all out with the minimum of fuss.

I'd recommend them to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.
