Garage trying to sell cars into europe?

Hi guys,

I have my T350 for sale and it has only been up for sale a couple of weeks and I have had several phone calls from "Driven Image" in Wetherby saying they are selling lots of these cars into Europe. They have said they would like to take some pictures and market it into europe for no charge, they make their money from adding a markup on the vehicle.

My question is as anybody heard of this garage before and is it even worth entertaining them?

I know the garage, They "pretend" be TVR specialist but they just buy and sell them, I wouldn't let them service my car though. nothing to fear if you are using them as an agent to sell your car.

Driven Image are quite well known as a seller in TVR circles, though I've never dealt with them so can't comment on their service or reputation.
I'm guessing it will be on a sale or return basis or are they just offering to market the car without taking it in to stock?

I've no experience of these guys either, but I'm sure they are a professional bunch.

However, if you are considering a 'sale or return' arrangement then you may wish to have a look at this thread in terms of protecting your investement.

when i was interested in one of their cars last year, they straight away offered a part exchange against one or both of my cars at the time - a Sag or a Mk 1 Tuscan. They went away to consider p/x prices etc, then came back saying nother of my cars is something they'd be interested in taking on at the moment. Bizarre for a so- called TVR specialist.

Then I got inundated with offers from them to sell my car for me.

Hexham HC are excellent by the way, and not too much futher north!

I bought my old Cerb from Craig at Driven Image a few years ago. At the time they were more what you could call a TVR specalist, but these days they just seem to sell performance cars of all descriptions. As indi sellers go though, they certainly seem reputable enough. Cant hurt to let them take a few photos I guess? Does widen the net a little.

They were a nice couple. Looked at my T350 the day before yours. Thankfully I got a sale the following week - and mine stayed in this country!

Dont know them im afraid but I cant see why you wouldnt want to take them up on this if its free and gives you more exposure. I sold my T350 to a guy in Austria and he paid the full asking price!! Certainly seems to be a lot more going abroad now days which is maybe not so good long term for us in the UK but good from a seller point of view.

I don't know about Driven Image and selling cars to Europe. I'm from Holland. About three weeks ago I asked them about their blue Cerbera but I got a short note that they sold it. It's still marked as unsold on the PH site.

I bought a TVR from them last year.. They didn't transfer my number plate over though so lost that, even though they agreed to do so.
