T350 Dash removal ??
Discussion
Hi Guys,
Hope someone can help,
Im thinking about getting the interior on my T350 retrimmed, to keep costs down I was thinking I could remove everything I want retrimmed and send it away.
Im going to be fitting a set of bucket seats so the seats wont need done. I will be doing the carpets and seats myself. Im wanting the dash and door cards plus a few things in the boot done in black leather nothing fancy.
So my question is how do you get the dash off? I have been told you have to take the windscreen out.
Thanks Nick!

Sorry to dig up an old thread but GV's page only seems to list the steps to get the pod out from behind the steering wheel. I'm looking to wire in some new front speakers (not using existing wiring) so I need to get the dash itself out.
How easy is this to do and is it a one man or two man job?
Once it's out I assume you can also get to the back of the stereo a lot easier?

From what I've read (in GV's bible?) you can remove the mid dash unit, radio surround and clocks cowl but the dash below the windscreen is trimmed in situe and ideally with the windscreen out. I may be possible to do without removing the screen but it may be tricky getting the cloth under the screen and making it look kosher and not bodged.

dont you just love TVR's. To remove lower dash pull circ air vents off on passenger side and in between radio and steering wheel, next take glovebox out 2 screws and be fairly brutal with it.The main bolts are on bulkhead one through glovebox and the other through air vent to left of steering wheel.Depending on who fitted your dash you may have a third bolt near back of radio. On some cars the dash moulding joins up on other side of steering wheel, look up underneath to see screw holding mirror switch pod.top pod is fixed by two screws either side of wheel.Pod is held by ribbon cables btw they are handed so no worries connecting wrong sides etc. I cut my moulding to remove it, the mirror pod can be fixed from underneath.Pull radio out and unplug, when dash drops forward pull cables through as you drop dash down, you can then see from back of dash how radio box is held(also two diff methods !!) The other thing you may come across is the vent pipe on far left may or not be bonded in (One was, one wasnt). I hope i have covered it all just take plenty of time and maybe remove steering wheel, it helped first time round to see how things fitted. There are a few small mouldings screwed in around wheel and are fairly easy to see.A head torch is also very handy, good luck , pm me if you want a chat on phone if you get stuck. Top dash as mentioned is part of car screen has to come out.
cheers Geoff
