Track Day Wheels for a Sagaris

Looking at getting some track day wheels for my Sag, can anybody recommend any.

I think these would look great on your Sag Mark and would really suit your style of driving

Works wheels are IMO one of the best made for strength and lightness. I got mine second hand off TVR_Owner when he sold his Sagaris. Tim at ACT sells them who always gives a great service..



They don't look to bad on a T350 either.

The Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 are nice wheels as well for tracking as they don't show the brake dust.


And yes that is Mr Varley behind trying to keep up, he needs more power I think or more bottle

The SP12 wheels are the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2.

I have the works wheels as standard but I want some track wheels to stick R888s on for TDs, What off sets did you have with the TD pro race?

I think these suit the car rather well. Full marks to Tim of ACT for commissioning TVR fitments of the Work wheels - indeed, I've often looked with envy at the Japanese tuning scene for the abundance of strong, lightweight and purposeful (un-bling) looking forged wheels at relatively decent prices; in particular my former Saab (4x108 bolt pattern as Griff/Chim) could have done with a set of those (the 16" deep-dish 9000 Aero wheels looked fantastic but weighed a ton and a half)...

They work so well with the whole aggresive look, loving the the t350 shot with the front wheel in the air

Agree works wheels are good lookers.
ACT Tim will look after you whichever you choose.

I stuck with spiders for original looks, but have replaced a couple already after a Couple of fairly hard rumble strip excursions.

Not sure if 19" works as increased rolling radius will cause more bottoming in arches.

Dunlop do some 265/35 DG 03 but again likely foul.

Go with the 888's,which is proven?

Look forward to seeing both you Mark's for a full season of track days..

Hi Graham, Not going too far off topic as i like my Team Dynamics with 888s, quite suit the Tam IMO and seem to do whats asked of them, but was interested to see you have chosen a 3.73 diff as i thought a 3.91 was the Sags prefered diff, where did i get that from? CR box sounds interesting, what will that give you ratio wise? or is that a secret untill the first T/D.

These look great too , and if I bend any more spiders!, I 'll try these from ACT.


I will be fitting Pirelli Corsas onto my spiders, once my last set of now obsolete Dunlop SSRace have worn out.

I have it on good authority the 3.73 is more suited, due to the extra torque the 4,3 puts out.

I'm thinking that the box and diff happens before the rebuild, so what I go for might make all the difference then!

Castle is quite a bumpy track the lifting of the wheels is probably due to not releasing the bump enough as the the car was side stepping slightly over the bumpy areas. I will know next visit to reduce the bump even more.

My Sagaris RT (Road/Track) was built by the factory on Compomotive wheels. So if you want 'originality'......

r 888 choice is a really good option,. used to run same dunlops as graham but r 888 s i thought were better, graham let us know how the corsas behave, they are an expensive tyre!. on the subject of diff and transmission i really feel a 3.9 diff with a 4.3 converstion would be to low geared, i have a 3.7 with a c/r gear box and with the new engine ( 370 bhp at the wheels) beleive me you would not want to be any lower geared for the road. graham said it puts smile on your face but he never said how big happy new tear to you all tony

I use Work CR with R888 on my Tuscan S and its a very good combination. Suspension is also upgraded to KW.
If you need the dimensions of the wheels just let me know. But I'm not sure if they are the same on a Sagaris.
