Sorry for all the questions at the mo guys, but hopefully you have the knowledge I need !
Both doors work on th mirror buttons, but the drivers door has about a 5 second delay, whereas the passenger door is instananeous. Is this normal ?
Neither window drops when the doors are opened. What would be the order in which to check things ? As much info as possible would be greatly appreciated please chaps

As much info as possible would be greatly appreciated please chaps Try unplugging then re-plugging the window ECUs first to see if the behaviour remains. You can find them in the passenger and driver side footwells. If that doesn't sort it, then try swapping them over and see if the behaviour is replicated on either side.

Try setting the alarm with the doors open (in turn) do you get 4 warning beeps? when you open the door does the interior light come on? if not it might be the micro switches mounted in the door locks. When the latch closes it presses the micro switch arm. It might need re-alignment or it might be broken or thirdly the arm might have dropped off the switch, they are a bit flimsey. RS sell replacements if you need them, special order so get two together otherwise they stick you twice for the 'special order' charge. Should cost about £18 all in for 2
