Hey guys, can anyone recommend any Indy TVR specialists in south east london.

I know there is racing green but they are main dealers and so come with main dealer costs!

What are there rates for a 6k and 12k service out of interest?

I don't own a tvr yet so just doing all the background checking now so I know what i might be getting myself into.

Depends where you go. I paid £750 for a 12K inc Geo & Tappets from Str8six. IIRC the 6K was about £380. Some are more expensive others are less. It can be a mine field so check what you are getting for your money, some look good value but don't include everything on the Factory service schedule, others do and are good value for money. I Hear Green Star are very good value for money in Blackpool but they are too far away to be practical.

Lots of people will all have their favorite dealer/indie who they have used for years, they will even pay more using them because service goes beyond the physical work.

The one thing everybody will agree on is a TVR needs servicing correctly on a regular basis and it will reward you with years of service. Abuse/neglect it and it will become a money pit.

Budget £600 for a 6k and £1000 for a 12k. That way you cover the minor tweaks the car would probably need - a wishbone bush here, a clutch slave cylinder there, an oil seal, HT leads, coil pack, engine mounts - all cheap to fix and best to get done if the garage points them out. Preventative maintenance stops you breaking down. (This is no different to changing things like the RMS and leaking front radiators or coils on a 911!)
