Tall person pedal box??
Discussion
Evening all.
Still in the process of deciding which car to go for and have seen a car advertised with a "Tall person pedal box" - being 6'4" this obviously intrigued me.
Can anyone explain the score with these as in price/availability/models available for etc.
Many thanks in advance.

While here, whats the best exhaust for a T350? - not fussed about being too noisy as wont be an every day car...
Tks
Depends on what you mean by best. Listen to a few, some you will like, some you won't. Don't let the backbox influence your purchase decision too much as they are very easily changed for other flavours anyway.Tks

ok so I guess the reasons for changing it are 1) power and 2) noise....I don't want to do anythign that will 'unbalance' the engine and mean I need to spend more on her, I will mainly want to make her sound "better" - pops, bangs etc etc...

If you want the max power effect then there are several back boxes to assist - your needs will easily be catered for. None create more power and they don't really affect the engine in any way to worry about either.Stevo

Here's a link to the JP one, I think it sounds great, but you will find a few on youtube to listen to, some are a lot more savage than this but I prefer this one, I think
Is this one standard, if so I'd keep that one on

I'm sure the pedal box's are fully adjustable
I depends on what you mean by "fully". I've been told that to adjust the pedal box on my Sagaris would be several hours labour as it involves a lot of fiddly unbolting and bolting. And the whole thing has to be resealed too as it bolts through to the underside of the car. 5tevo said:
"Max Power effect" - Most certainly not, but having driven a standard car at the weekend and also heard one with a carbon can it is a sound much more suited to a car of the T350 performance (imo).
Plus I have a fetish for London tunnels and loud noises

JP all the way. I didn't like the blueflame and found the power backbox a little to OTT (though I know some people with this and a de-cat), I found the JP a fantastic compromise and it sounds awesome on the overrun!Plus I have a fetish for London tunnels and loud noises

Where abouts in the S/East are you?

will decide if I need to hav ethe pedals tweaked once I have one
I'm 6'5" - when I test drove my T350 the pedal box was in the standard postion which was acceptable, however Mark @ Trimar (where I bought the car from) advised that I'd be much more comfortable with the pedal box moved and he was dead right. If you're buying a car from a dealer and you think it's beneficial, ask them to move it for you as part of the preparation work - should be done f.o.c. if you play your cards right!
Moving the pedal box- anyone on here any experience of doing it?
I've had a look behind the pedal plate at whats involved and looks to be straightforward; my question is; is there enough give in the hydraulic lines without kinking them?
FYI I'm moving it backwards as I'm lacking distance in my inside leg area. (also so I can sit further away from the clocks and still focus on them through me glasses! )
