tamora lower than a chim?

anyone here had both? i have a steep drive which chim just about cleared at the peak will the tam struggle?

i've had both. i'm pretty sure the tam is a bit lower at the nose.

Yep - Tam is a bit lower on the nose end AND its not as forgiving when you do catch it.

Scrape the nose of a Chim and it scratches the underneath where you can't see. Do the same with a Tam and it takes chunks out the front spoiler - I repaired mine a few times during my ownership.

As said, not sure there is too much difference, but the nose sticks out more, so more chance of clipping it.

issue with my drive that chim was very close to grounding at the top but more in the middle of the car if you not what i mean.

The Tam was about an inch and a half lower at launch but the factory raised the suspension (about an inch IIRC) and modified many existing cars.

I think the Tam is a little lower. However, once the nose gets over everything else will.

With the Chimaera there was always a chance of grounding the diffuser, sump, chassis or exhaust!

I've had both cars and have a steep drive. The Chimaera used to just about clear at the top and bottom. The Tamora cleared at the top but dug it's nose into the ground at the bottom when going in forwards and the rear splitter when going in backwards. I eventually modified the drive by adding two raised sections for the wheels to go along which then allowed the chin to just about clear in between the two raised sections.
I used a couple of scaffold boards and blocks for the raised sections.

well will find out tommorow when i get my hands on her, drive tapers of ok ish its just the peak that would sometimes catch out the chim but i think the tam has a shorter wheel base so that might help?

I umm and arred for a long time to try and work out whether a Tamora would make it down the drive and into the garage - eventually I decided to buy one anyway and then I would have to make it work - and necessity certainly did become the mother of invention.

well got her home and what a great drive it was well not bad for time of year, cleared drive no probs thank god! thanks to james agger for sorting everything out and look forward to some decent weather.
