Hi Guys
How much do you pay to insure your 350 ?
Best quote i can get is £819 fully comp,
I am 42, 8 years NCD, 6 speeding points and locked garage.
It will be a second car although doesn`t seem to make any difference unless anyone knows a specialist for low usage, weekend cars.

I pay a fair bit less, but postcode may make a big difference, plus history of RWD sporty car experience. 6 points won't help you much either

Try one of the TVR Car Club insurers.

Modified 4.0L T350, garaged, more points, full NCD, major claim 2008, 3rd car but unlimited mileage, certain trackday cover, 90 day continental use, protected no claims etc. Paying just over half your quote!

That does seem high. I pay a bit over £400 with not dissimilar history/use as above. Limiting the miles to 6-7k migh help

Just renewed and paid £425, full european recovery cover and home start with Manning UK. Never claimed but the sevice seems good, restriction to 4k pa but not much more to increase to higher level. 6 years ncb and Stafford postcode, garaged.

Always worth shopping round, I started at just over a grand and worked down from there, was under £400 last year.

Just renewing mine. Was hammered in first year as no no claims and an own fault right off of an M3!

However the quotes I have now wtih 1 years NCB and still showing the right off are less than yours and I am younger than you?

I think its your points or maybe your post code?. I have 1yrs NCB (on the TVR) kept on the drive, 34yrs old cost me £470. Last year was almost £1k but I had been a bad boy in the past and was also declaring 6 points albeit 41/2 yrs old at the time.

ive had early life crisis mid life late mid life and working toward the oap crisis lol and still kid at heart.. and just as stupid as keep buying these things hahah

As said earlier, try MSM. I was with Hagerty last year but they changed their policy and made me shop around - saved £200 doing so. MSM will discuss your no claims and consider applying a discount on your second car. Worth a call - just to talk to Melanie if nothing else!

Hoe did you manage this?. Haggerty were recently getting a roasting on here for changing their policy and not insuring post 198* TVR's. Would be good to know if they have changed their minds as many a P'header with a TIV was insured with them in the past.
