T350 as a Daily Driver??

Does anyone here use a T350 as a daily driver? How does it stand up? Im about to change jobs where I'll get cash allowance and thinking the T350 might be the best choice to get back to TVR ownership... I will do about 300-350 a week all motorway with the occassional to the aiport. Any thoughts appreciated Cheers
T cars generally seem to run better with regular usage. As long as it's not just short trips with barely enough time to get the engine warm, then I see no reason why you could not use one as a daily driver. I've now done 39,000 Miles in mine without any hiccups or major problems. Had a new clutch at 36,000 miles but that seems to be par for the course.
I think my only concern would be the servicing costs... 3 times a year isn't going to be cheap, but if you have the wherewithal then I'd say go for it. Big time!

I went from a Tuscan as my only car to T350 as my only car. I do at least 400 miles a week (sadly more than half on the motorways) and would say there is absolutely no problem (apart from the expense of very regular servicing) doing this. My T350 is less twitchy than my Tuscan was though this maybe down to better geo set up. And it is a bit easier to park in tight spaces.

I have tried to get my head round this sort of advice and wonder what other owners think . I understand its good practise to warm your car up correctly every time you use it and i do , but , am i correct in thinking this is so no wear is caused to the engine before the oil has time to warm and work its way round the moving parts especially the head .So what is the difference between running the car everyday below 3000rpm when it might only get up to 40 degrees over say a 10 - 15 min run and running it every day until it's up to 60 degrees then over 3000 rpm . surely the engine is only exposed to cold oil / low rev running for the same amount of time , you can't reverse any problems caused in the first few miles by continuing to run the car hot the damage if any has already been done .
I am not criticising the advice on this thread just wondering how other owners view the short journey issue .

The only thing with short journeys can be condesation/fuel in the oil from not getting to optimum temperator for long periods, as long as the oil is changed regulary you don't have a problem. long periods of standing still will allow oil to drain from crucial componants so will aggrevate wear. High milage cars will have more wear to suspension/exhaust/clutch/gearbox & diff etc to a low milage car.
The choice is yours, both have advantages and disadvantages so you can't say one is better than the other.
For the record mine is only used 3-4 months of the year but used almost everyday when it's out of storage. I've not had any major problems, car is serviced every year as an alternate 6K or 12K even though it's only done 12K miles in total.

How many clutches have you had? and what type. I ask as I will be having the engine rebuit in DecemberHow come you are having your engine rebuilt if you have only done 12k? (I'd recommend Power for that as mine was rebuilt there 72,000 miles ago).
