Service bonnet disppears with out trace

Yes Friday my service bonnet flys off on the outside lane of the M6.
S&D will be making me another but anyone know of a spare one anywhere.
I didn't check the front clips after checking the oil.
So all you sag owners check your clips before every run.

That happened to me when I forgot to do the clips up after checking the oil. I was doing around when the bonnet took off vertically, went over some trees and disappeared into a field of oilseed rape.

It took me ages to find it again but amazing the crop has broken its fall and it was completely undamaged! Very lucky as it was 3 days before I was going to Le Mans.

Surface & Design have now made a new bonnet mould and are currently making the the new service bonnet from that plus flaps.
So at least they now have a manufactruring capabilty for this part should any other Sag owner loose theirs like me or get theirs damaged.
Paul whos doing the job is a wizard.
Should have it back on and painted in couple of weeks.

Glad to hear it - you're a lucky man. I'm always a little worried about replacing a Targa panel if one ever got airborne. Luckily the panels haven't budged at all even at top speed on the Autobahnen
