Does anyone else think that the heater in the Tamora is crap? On cold days with the roof off, and the heater on, it is still freezing. Might as well not have a heater.
I know that you can change the flap settings but I haven't experimented with this is I thought that it only chaged which vents the cold or hot air exited from, rather than the temperature.
I will be dropping into RG later today; if it is a general problem there is no point in mentioning it. If it is just me, then I'll have a word....

I've played with the settings and no matter what I do I can't get warm air out of the lower vents, it seems only the dash top vents allow warm air to come out. When I got the car I couldn't get cold air out of the top vents but in the end I manages to do that. Gave up trying to get warm air out of the lower ones!!

And thats the trouble, you're comparing it with a car that is very very good at being able to keep the cabin toasty at silly low tempertures.We found the same moving from MX5 to Audi TT Cab - Audi feels cold.
The good news is Lee, a nice tartan travel rug cures the problem and looks the part when you get to a certain age

Its not. If they are open, and not blocked by carpet, they should blow hot air....unless of course FFF stands for freezing footwell feature?I'll mention it anyway though.
Oh ye of continuing litttle FFF-aith.No, not the footwell thing. Just the general lack of hot air coming into the cabin from any vent. The top vents are no hotter than the footwell vents - just warm. But with the amount of heat generated under the bonnet I would have thought that there would be a plentiful supply of it available for the cabin.
Even if the aerodynamics with the hood off are such that that air doesn't circulate properly you should still get some localised nice hot air flow.

Not sure if the vents are the same in a Tamora, but in the Tuscan I find that if I close off the dash board vents, the passenger side dash and footwell vent, you get a much better warm air flow. If you have a passenger, you can just tell them that the heater isn't very good.... Our old Mk 2 MX5 is like a toasty little sauna cabin with the heater on.
