I'm not a fan of P/S and i'm thinking of doing away with it, I know it's hydraulic but I believe you can just pull the relay, has anybody done this and did you have any problems?

If your upper body strength is similar to Garth, it will be fine. Otherwise, its an issue.

I suspect it would also invalidate your insurance and make you liable in the event of an accident - especially a serious one where the police investigated it and a the vehicle was inspected?

It would only be without P/S when used on Track if I just pulled the relay, though I might go the full hog and replace the rack and then take the whole system out, cannot see it being a issue as long as it passes a mot.

Air con will be coming out as well to improve air flow to the rad.

My P/S failed once on my T350. That was fun. As John says above, you need to be fairly strong to manage it at slow speeds. I wouldn't be removing it on my car.

Hydraulic ??? It its Electro/Hydraulic with a electric pump rather than being feed from the engine on a std. Griff....Try it with a duff relay !!! I'm an expert mine has failed 3 times on my vert... I couldn't get it out the garage without putting all my weight on the steering wheel to turn it (and I've change from 255 to 225 tyres on the front)...scared I was going to break the steering column.... its manageable when moving...but I'd like to see you parking

My relay is now in the passenger footwell... instead of the middle of the engine bay (75amp rather than 45amp and its not a cheap and nasty Citreon one )
