Tyres for T350C

Hi,

I need to buy a new set of tyres to replace my existing toyo proxes T1-S but I would like to know what other owners are usin, what sizes and where is the best place to by them.

Don't know about 'best' - depends on your usage profile - trackdays/commuting/burnouts etc.

I now run the newer Goodyear F1 Asymetrics which are a very good all round tyre. I'm sure others will be better on the track though.

Hi,

Car won't be used on the track and only out in dry weather.

Another one of these TVR's that will spend most of it's life hidden away in a garage.

How were the Toyos for you? I think they're a bit cheaper than the other choices, if they worked well and you liked them...

As above, F1 Asymmetrics, a very good all rounder.

VRED ULTRAC SESSANTA's cheaper than Goodyear ASY but not tried them on the TVR, will do next though they are much better overall than GSD3 eagles IMHO

I still have the standard Eagle F1's on my car which I believe are no longer available as they have been superseded by the F1 asymmetrics. Can someone tell me if it's a no no to have a standard and a new asymmetric tyre on the same axle? If I had an unrepairable puncture would I have to change two tyres?
In fact would I need to change all four over to asymmetrics to maintain the correct balance? Thankyou for any replies.

With a car so sensitive to tyres I would never run different tyres on the same axle. I see no reason why you can't have different ones front/rear, but be aware the grip/traction properties of the tyres will be different and the behaviour of you car will change.

I'm running on Falken FK-452's - standard sizes - good enough for my purposes (B-roads, mostly dry) and not quite as expensive as the Toyos or Goodyears.

Hi Konrad, I was thinking of trying the Falkens on my T350 as I have an odd pair on the front (following a pothole incident ) and fairly worn F1's on the back. Best price I've seen for the 452s is around £90 each (supply only) did you do any better?

Just make sure you're getting decent, appropriate tyres. For the price of a tank of petrol I'd prefer to feel safe in my rubber (ooer).

These Falkens are very popular with Z4 owners migrating from runflats so they can't be too bad.

I got mine in Germany - the current price is 118 € . If I get the conversion rate right, £90 is a good price...

Has anyone fitted Michelin Pilot sports to their T350?

I'm now on Goodyear Assymetrics too and def prefer them to the Toyos and (I was surprised to find) the F1 gsds I had in between. As Targarama said 'good allrounders' but i've also found them fine on track. Wear is good and though they do get more inclined to slip as they apprroach the end of their useful life (as all tyre do) they do so far less than the Toyos.
On the change over from F1 gsd to Assyms I did have new models on one axle and old on the other which was fine but I really wouldn't fancy mixing them on the same axle.

I have got Michelin pilot sports on the front of my t350 and I have to admit that I have found them to be pretty good. The tyres were on the car when I bought it in 2007 and they are still going strong 14000 miles later which I cannot complain about. Don't think I'd put the Michelins back on there come replacement time but not 100% sure and to be fair there's still quite a lot of life left in them yet...

I have the chance of a set of Pilot sports as I work for Michelin and just wanted to know if they were any good on the T350.

Think I will give them a try and see how they are.

With the pilot sports and a 225 profile on the front the sidewall has a nice slope due to being stretched which I like a lot and I really can't believe how long they have lasted.

I think most people are put off them due to the price but otherwise I have no complaints and I guess you'll be getting them cheaper... Are you sure your car doesnt require 8 tyres and I'll take a set off you... ;-)

Same as me. Just put new Assyms on the rear, but can't justify changing the front GSDs with 6mm+ tread, unless someone on here wants a pair - actually 3 (all 225/35/18) as I have a spare with 7mm tread?
