Tam rear plate...

Evening all.

I have a new set of plates for the Tam but I am going to be unable to use the existing fitments on th erear due to the plate layout.

Has anyone had to drill new holes or fix a plate using a method other than using the existing tap'd holes? Any reason why I couldn't just drill two holes and get a couple of small nuts and bolts, use the existing washer/spacer and bingo bango bongo?

^This. I use some double-sided tape I picked up from B&Q; I can't remember exactly who makes it, but i'm sure it's from someone like Unibond or similar. Really thick stuff and works really well; comes off cleanly when you want to remove the plates.

Fantastic, preferable to drilling unsightly holes...was just worried about the heat fromt he the pipes causing melting issues - the OEM plate appears to have thick washers of an unknown material (could be aheat resisitant I don't know) between the plate and the metal bodywork.

Sounds like I am being paranoid.
