So i have had this for two weeks now. I have been lurking on the forum for a while and had the first day off in ages when it wasnt lashing down with rain. i actually had to put the polishing off for a while as the sun was too hot on the body work. ill let the pictures tell the story. sorry that PB steals the pic quality

Great job looks great, is it possible for a list of products you used etc in order. Noticed you used a Sonus green clay bar etc what lube do you use with it, I have never tried a clay bar but heard good results, was thinking of sonus green or bilt hamber soft, How long will the bar last on average.

Yeah of course.
So i started off by giving the wheels a blast with Billberry wheel cleaner. Some of the lacquer has started to come off so i used a pretty weak solution and then used a large 'envy' brush to agitate. I didn't pay too much attention to the wheels as i plan on having them refurbed in anthracite pretty soon.
While this was soaking the bottom of all the panels, nose and rear splitter/boot were sprayed with megs heavy duty degreaser. I use a high pressure hand pump like you would use with weed killer, works a treat and means you can get in the door shuts and in little gaps.
Then the car was snow foamed using 'super snow foam' from 'clean your car' combined with some Megs Gold Class and a little warm water. This was allowed to soak for about ten minutes while i filled my bucket with megs gold class shampoo. I have tried a couple of other but always seem to come back to this as it is so suddy and really does a great job. I again used a couple of 'envy' brushes to go around the lights, the door sills and the inner boot.
Once washed i used almost the lowest setting of the pressure washer to go around the wheels and the arches and then simply used free flowing water for the rest.
The sonus clay is great and in the box there is easily enough to do about 4 cars, depending on how bad they are I guess. Previously I used the megs quick clay bar kit but the sonus is much more affective. I dont really bother with using a detailing spray as a lube, i just mix up some shampoo and water and put it in a misting bottle, currently in the old Megs detailing bottle. Start with one panel at a time making sure that the clay is always lubricated. After ever other pass I check the clay and re-fold if needed. I would start on the bonnet and work your way round from top to bottom as the bottom of the car is generally always worse. Once I was happy with this I then rewashed the car and dried using a Sonus Der Wunder drying towel.
Once all dried up anything that didn't want to come into contact was masked up, all along the bottom of the hood, the lights etc etc.
I started by using Megs Ultimate Compound on a Sonus SFX 2 pad but it didnt seem to be cutting through very well. I then tried on a SFX 1 pad and again still wasn't enough so used Sonus Restore Polish on a SFX 1 pad and better luck. After this I used the Ultimate Compound on the SFX 2 pad and finally Dodo Juice Price Lime on a SFX 1 pad. To be fair I wouldn't really rate the sonus pads and probably not the polish either. Next time I will be using the Menzerna kit which I have seen work with much better results.
Now it was ready for wax. I bought this last summer and have done about 3 cars and it probably has enough for another 4, considering its only a panel pot its amazing. Great value for what it is and a fantastic wax giving great beading. My next purchases will probably consider of the black fire range as I have only heard great things about their products so must be worth a try.

Spot on mate thanks alot, will be giving it a try thats for sure.
