Boot Wont open

Boot wont open I can't hear anything clicking so is it likely to be electrical ?
Also is there a mechanical release as there was on my S Series , if so could someone mail me what/how /were .

hi,

i had this the other day, check to see if your interior light works when doors are open,if it is not then youve probably got a blown fuse.

they run off the same circuit i found out, its a 2oamp fuse which does the rear fog/ radio/cigar lighter. as you look up at fuse box its the shorter row of fuses 11th one down.

if not this then theres another way in as you say.
